Free, Premium, and partner plans
What the Free plan includes, what Premium unlocks, how billing works on web and mobile, and how ads apply only to Free on the web.

Free is meant to be usable
A new account starts on the Free plan. You can create a personal group, invite people into shared groups, log expenses, and use balances and stats. Free limits how many groups you can keep active, so it is enough to try TmCount and to run a small set of budgets, not an unlimited archive of every trip you have ever taken.
When you hit the group limit, you can archive something you no longer need, or upgrade. Accepting an invite into a new group also counts toward the limit, because that group is now one you belong to.

What Premium adds
Premium removes the group cap so you can keep personal ledgers, current trips, and old archives without shuffling. It unlocks theme presets, group export to Excel, optional end-to-end encryption, and an ad-free web experience. The day-to-day expense workflow stays the same; you are not learning a second product.
Partner TM access is arranged separately. It is not a public checkout option. Feature-wise it matches Premium in the app.

Where you pay
On the web, Premium is billed through Stripe. On iOS and Android, it goes through the App Store or Google Play. Subscription renewals and cancellations follow the store or the Stripe customer portal you used. Taxes may apply depending on where you are.
Start a subscription on the platform you actually use. A web subscription and a store subscription are different checkout paths. If a receipt looks wrong, use the same channel you paid on, then contact support if the plan does not appear in TmCount after a refresh.

Ads and the free web app
Free users on the web may see ads on screens that already have real group or expense activity. Empty lists, sign-in, registration, and legal pages do not carry those banners. Premium and TM do not show AdSense. Native apps do not show AdSense either.
If you are comparing TmCount to a spreadsheet, the paid plan is for people who live in the app: many groups, export, encryption options, and no ads. If you only need one trip and a personal budget, Free is the place to start.
